Welcoming of MV. Trans Harmony Green, the First LNG Vessel at Patimban Port by KSOP Class II Patimban, PICT, PPI, and Admiral Lines.
On February 25, 2025, Patimban Port in Subang, West Java, marked a new milestone with the arrival of MV Trans Harmony Green, owned by Toyofuji Shipping Co., Ltd., as the first LNG powered ship to dock at the port. The welcoming of the ship was celebrated enthusiastically by various related parties, including KSOP Class II Patimban, Patimban International Car Terminal (PICT), PT Pelabuhan Patimban Internasional (PPI), and Admiral Lines as the shipping agent.
This moment was marked by the presentation of a plaque by Capt. Sugeng from KSOP Patimban and Bawon Widadi, M.Mar., from Admiral Lines to Capt. Kumar Akhilesh, the ship’s captain. The arrival of MV Trans Harmony Green symbolizes an important milestone in Patimban’s transformation into a multifunctional port that not only serves vehicle export-import but is also ready to become a modern energy terminal.
The 195-meter-long vessel, with a gross tonnage of 49,500 GT, is designed to carry up to 3,000 vehicles and operate shipping routes within the Asia region. Equipped with a dual-fuel engine that can run on either LNG or diesel, the ship can reduce CO₂ emissions by more than 25% and nearly eliminate SOx emissions, making it an environmentally friendly solution in the maritime sector.
The entire welcoming and operational process went smoothly thanks to coordination and synergy among stakeholders, demonstrating a strong commitment to supporting the development of Patimban Port as a strategic and sustainable logistics hub in Indonesia.
